Giving and receiving (あげる/くれる/もらう)
あげる : give (offer) something to someone.
A は、B に 〇〇 を あげる。
彼は、うちの娘に、 自転車をあげた。 He gave his bike to my daughter

くれる : someone gives something to a 1st person (me or us).
A は、 私に 〇〇 をくれる
父は、 私に、 お金をくれた。My father gave me money.
A は、 私に 〇〇 をくれる

もらう : to receive something from someone
私は、 Aから(に) 〇〇 をもらう。
私は、 父から、 お金をもらった。I received money from my father.
私は、 Aから(に) 〇〇 をもらう。
私は、 父から、 お金をもらった。I received money from my father.
先生は、彼女に、本をあげました。
My teacher gave him a book.
祖母は、母に、指輪をあげました。

The form in 〜て + あげる / もらう / くれる is used when an action is performed for the recipient.
〜てあげる : we do something for someone

〜てもらう : someone receives an action by someone else in their favour.
