When もの is placed at the end of a sentence, we express the consequence :
Ex :日本語は、 難しいもの。Japanese is (therefore) difficult.

Q. どんなことが、ありましたか。What happened?

Nominalization with ところ (temporalily)
Use ところ to express the position in time of an action and the moment (just before, during, just after).
