# JLPT N5 - Expression de l'état d'être : 「だ」

「だ」est une copule désignant un état d’être, qui est mise en fin de phrase. 「だ」 est utilisé avec un nom ou un adjectif en na uniquement. 「だ」est utilisé dans une phrase de registre familier.

Exprimer la nature d’une chose avec 「だ」  
Ajouter 「だ」 aux noms ou aux adjectifs en na   
（１） 犬いぬ。C’est un chien.   
（２） 犬いぬだ。C’est un chien.   
Une phrase sans 「だ」 comme（１）indique aussi “C’est un chien”. La différence entre （１）et （２）est la tonalité. La phrase avec「 だ」 est plus conclusive.

彼かれは日本人にほんじん。

Il est japonais.

彼かれは日本人にほんじんだ。

Il est japonais (le locuteur est sûr qu’il est japonais.)

Comme la phrase avec「だ」à la tonalité forte, dans une conversation on ajoute souvent 「ね」ou「よ」juste après「だ」pour adoucir le ton.

彼かれは 日本人にほんじんだよ。

彼かれは 日本人にほんじんだね。

On utilise souvent 「だ」quand on a découvert quelque chose ou quelqu’un.

### Comment conjuguer en forme négative ?

En japonais, le temps et la négation sont exprimés sous forme de conjugaison.

Règles de conjugaison de l'état d'être au passé   
Pour utiliser la forme négative, il suffit d\\’ajouter 「じゃない」 aux noms ou aux adjectifs en na.   
（例）  
日本人にほんじん　→　日本人にほんじんじゃない - Ce n'est pas un japonais.

### Comment conjuguer en forme passée ?

Règles de conjugaison de l'état d'être au passé   
Pour utiliser la forme passée affirmative, 「だった」 est ajouté aux noms ou aux adjectifs en na.   
（例）  
学生がくせい　→　学生がくせいだった Il était étudiant.   
静かしずか　→　静しずかかだった C’était calme.   
Pour utiliser la forme passée négative, on enlève 「い」 de 「じゃない」et on ajoute 「かった」.   
（例）  
学生がくせい　→　学生がくせいじゃない　→　学生がくせいじゃなかった Il n’était pas étudiant.   
静かしずか　→　静かしずかじゃない　→　静かしずかじゃなかった Ce n’était pas calme.
