Succession of actions with the form-て
The て form allows you to express a succession of actions done in a chronological order.
It can be formed from the past tense conjugation of neutral verbs.
Replace た with て and だ with で :

The tense of the sequence is determined by the one of the last verb.
昨日は、家に帰って、テレビを見て、寝た。

Succession of states with nouns and adjectives and で
To qualify an object with multiple nouns of adjectives, you can connect them with で.
Nouns : 学生/アメリカ 人/ 歌手 + で
あの人は、学生で、アメリカ人で、歌手です。
This person is a student, American and a singer.
あの人は、学生で、アメリカ人で、歌手です。
This person is a student, American and a singer.

The tense of the whole action is determined by the tense of the last noun of adjective.
It is also possible to connect negative nouns or adjectives at : 明るくない → 明るくなくて .
この公園は、静かで、きれいで、 好きです。
I like this park, quiet and beautiful.
この部屋は、明くて、広くて、気持良い。
This room is bright, spacious and pleasant.
先生は、優しくて、面白くて、素敵です。
The teacher is kind, funny and great.
