Futur proche expresses something that will happen with certainty.
It also can be used to :
- express the imminence of an action that will take place in the future
Ex. Je vais terminer ça.
I'm going to finish this.
- talk about a project
Ex.
Je vais faire mon master en France.
I am going to do my master's degree in France.
- express a nuanced order
Ex. 
Tu vas nettoyer ta chambre.
You are going to clean up your room. (=You have to)
How to use :  aller + infinitif.

Add "ne pas" to form a negative sentence.
Ex. Je vais manger
=/= Je ne vais pas manger
